Easy to find that elusive clothing

A Tamworth woman has set up her own website directory of suppliers of 'hard to find' female fashions.

Clare Thomas, of Dosthill, spent 18 months researching and compiling the site which can be found at www.uniquelywoman.co.uk

Said Clare: "The inspiration came from personal experience of feeling there weren't enough clothing suppliers on the high street that supplied clothes to flatter my own figure.

"My friend and I got fed up looking for clothes which flatter our body shape, which is basically pear-shaped, like 70 per cent of the rest of the female population.

"Therefore, I set about finding all the specialist clothing suppliers and putting them together in one directory so all women could have this resource at their fingertips."

She said: "It is an information resource for women of all shapes and sizes and contains over 760 suppliers of 'hard to find' clothing such as petites, plus sizes, clothing for tall women, clothing for women who have undergone mastectomies and maternity clothing, as well as wide, narrow, large and tiny footwear for women - really anything that is 'hard to find'."

The aim of the website is to allow women to celebrate their individuality and who they are no matter what their size, shape or the values they uphold.

Said Clare: "I feel strongly that women should be made aware of the site as it is a great resource for them to find specialist clothing and also to share their experiences with other women via message boards."
