As a voluntary be-friender of the UK charity
SANDS, Sue Prentice had often been asked for clothing for very
tiny babies weighing as little as 1-2lbs, but had been unable
to find anything at all in the UK. This lack of clothing for tiny
babies was quite ironic given that the UK has the highest rate
of low birth weight in Western Europe.

About
two year ago I wandered into New Look and found, to my delight,
a plus size range (up to 26) which covered everything I needed.
Material was mostly cotton (not that horrible elastic/stretchy
type you get in Evans!), not too trendy (am a young 36 year old!)
but classy and fitted in when I went clubbing!, and definately
not too old (like my mums age!) and more importantly as a single
mum - were very reasonable priced (especially when the sales were
on!!!!).

STAY SAFE THIS
SUMMER!
As we move in to August and hopefully have a glorious month
of sunshine, it is vital that we remember the simple rules of
safe tanning. We have summarised the rules below as outlined
by Cancer Research UK and Boots. To find out more, visit www.sunsmart.org.uk:
- Stay in the shade between the hours of
11am - 3pm
- Make sure you never burn
- Always cover up with a wide-brimmed hat, T-shirt and wrap-around
sunglasses
- Remember to take extra care with children, use factor 15+ sunscreen
and make sure they are wearing hats
.......Finally, if you do notice any mole changes or unusual growths
promptly report them to your doctor.
